Marcus Chia Zeng Yik
Managing Director & CEO

Marcus Chia serves as the Group Chief Strategy Officer of Rand Group of Companies Malaysia and the Managing Director & CEO of Rand Development Sdn. Bhd. Since 2015, he has been a key driver of the Group’s strategic expansion into the real estate sector. He is also a shareholder and director of several multinational and local private companies operating across the real estate, education, tourism, international trade and digital sectors.

Marcus previously served as the Corporate and Finance Director of Melawing (KL) Group of Companies, a distinguished Malaysian property developer with more than 40 years of expertise and a development portfolio exceeding RM 1.14 billion GDV.

Before joining Rand Group, Marcus worked as a Management Consultant in the Strategy & Operations division of KPMG, where he advised corporations and government-linked agencies on strategic growth and transformation. He also played a significant role in the planning and realization of a major eco-focused industrial park in northern Malaysia.

Earlier in his career, Marcus was an Investment Banking Analyst at Nova Capital Partners, a boutique investment bank headquartered in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. His core competencies include real estate development, asset management, deal structuring, equity research, and public relations.

Marcus holds a Master of Science in Management (Finance) with Distinction from University College London (UCL), UK, and a Bachelor of Science in Economics (Finance) from The Pennsylvania State University, USA.
